Nixie tubes have been the best way to show up digital numbers several decades ago since LED segment displays replaced it. Hobbyist of electronics kept gather up those tiny bulbs and create their unique clock. I am also one of the Nixie fans. Firstly I used conventional IN-12 tubes to create a prototype with a few function includes time display and date. After that, since I am also crazy about the Japanese animation "Steins; Gate," and there's a device called "Divergence Meter" which showed up which multi-verse the protagonist Okabe is. I made a replica of that stuff since it doesn't work as it is in the animation, it's a realization of my favorites. I was entirely pleased by it.
Cube Timer Display https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9V9bxPtKes8 The large displays for showing up current time lapsed by a player showed up on tournaments. Few players themselves have their own since it's hard to buy here in Taiwan. Therefore I decided to make my smaller display which will be better to perform cube play in a smaller community. The final version of the display works well, and the boost converter made it works with only two AA batteries and able to work over 10 hours.
